What exactly are in a wardrobe of a woman? A feather-light one piece, a dress for a special day, a muffler from birthday few years back, and a hat I gifted myself on a gloomy day... This private space contains my own secret tastes and stories. We opened up the wardrobe of Horan, an unpredictable woman, and laid out her beloved special clothes and items.


My mother had a unique standard for fashion and she never bought me anything that was not acceptable in her view. When I was five, I cried complaining that I wanted a rainbow-colored skirt which, to my mother's eyes, was absolutely unfashionable. My grandmother bought me that skirt eventually though. I still have a picture of myself smiling happily wearing nothing except for that skirt. When I was in elementary school, the clothes I wore, ones that my mother approved of, were something Madonna or Kim-Wan-Sun would wear. I did not have a wardrobe that I could truly call my own until I was in middle school.

 My daily outfits before I first made my debut were much fancier than what I wear now because I yearned to stand on the stage but couldn't back then. I used to put on something that is more suitable for the stage than the actual stage clothing. I used to wear this spandex velvet mini one piece with ostrich feather along its shoulder line, which looked like a stage costume, to school and presumed that I looked stylish in it. Thinking back to those years, I probably was a bit of annoyance for other people.

I still would be wearing the similar outfits if not for the stage.It has probably been about 6 years since I bought this in Dong-Dae-Moon. While I can wear this both as a daily outfit and pajamas, this still is compatible to be on a stage as well. I actually was in this outfit when I performed in Seoul Arts Center. This not only does a great job showing my style, but also has a very tight fit. My friends, whom I meet regularly, complain that they are growing tired of seeing me in this outfit. But aren't all the girls same? If I am certain that this clothes fit me well, I feel dignified, confident and even my thoughts are liberated wherever I go.



This is made by someone who is very close to me, and has planned and carried out my wedding as well. I grew fond of this outfit after I wore it the first time in a photo shoot and he willingly gave it to me as a present when I asked him if I could buy it. I thought this could be useful both in a party and on the stage. I often feel certain that concept of performance, atmosphere of the stage, and the outfits are all in accordance and that I can draw the picture in my head right away. In such cases the clothing does exert a strong positive influence on the perfection of a performance. The attitude of a woman who thinks of herself obese and a woman who thinks of herself glamorous is bound to be different even if they weigh the same. Such differences in attitude will eventually affect their impression as well. Clothing generally plays an important role in making one look the most beautiful.




I got this dress from my mother-in-law who studied vocal music in her school years. This originally was a long dress which she wore on stage but I reformed it after I got it as a gift. She prefers styles that have feminine charm and yet contains boldness within. However, my sister-in-law is a very elegant type. My mother-in-law couldn't have been happier to have a daughter-in-law who has same taste for outfits. When I asked her if it would be okay for me to reform this dress she gave me a hearty "yes". I also like the beautiful black vintage style dress from the 80's. Its art-nouveau styled neck-line is beautiful and I plan to wear this on stage someday. It would also be suitable for a couple’s party as well. In such cases it is important to make a plan for what to wear in advance but it also is helpful to have one or two outfits that are suitable for anywhere at any time. This preparedness does not only provide practical help, but also it means that you have a good idea about your taste, your body, and your style.



I bought this from Zara during my overnight trip to Japan with my husband. While we were on a date, fit into our busy schedule with difficulty, we stopped by this store to buy him a t-shirt. However, I ended up buying mine instead of his. I used to avoid wearing anything white in fear of looking fat, but to my surprise, I have been making a good use of white-colored clothes this summer. I like fast fashion brands such as Zara. Although it is not easy to find clothing with durability in such stores, it still is worth your time since you have a chance to experience and test out unfamiliar fashions. Because of my broad upper body, shirt was something I would rarely put on. I used to prefer clothes that either is tight-fitting or hides my body-line with chiffon. After trying different styles in fast fashion stores however, I discovered that a certain type of t-shirts suits me well instead. I probably will try other good clothing after gaining an insight for clothing. I could get a chance to experience a special outfit, which one usually doesn’t get to wear in a lifetime, for only a few ten thousand won.
